Using the Hotword Connection Translator
If your application is to have multiple sources (for multilingual applications, for example), you can use the Hotword Connection Translator to translate the definitions. The Translator utility works with runtime ToolBook; it does NOT require an authoring version of ToolBook. The Translator does NOT require your application book.
Before using the Hotword Connection Translator:
Complete adding all hotwords and definitions for one source.
Use the Setup Sources tool to duplicate your completed database for each additional source. To do this, when you add each source use the Duplicate option (from the browse button in the database fields) to create its database.
To use the Hotword Connection Translator, the person translating must have the following files:
Your application's .tcn file.
All of your source databases (which contain identical data at the start).
The self-extracting installation file for the version of runtime ToolBook you want to use. For example, hwConnectionTrans_72.exe for ToolBook 7.2 or hwConnectionTrans_81.exe for ToolBook 8.1.
Optional: Your application book, if you want the translator to be able to view it when translating
Each of these files can be located anywhere. The easiest setup, however, is to locate the .tcn file and your book (if included) in the same directory as the translator files, and to locate your databases in the same location relative to the .tcn file as on the development machine.
