I would recommend you take a look at the Learning & Mastering ToolBook product from Platte Canyon. It is a great product and I have used it with much success to train new employees in the past.
-
The Platte Canyon CD is your best bet unless you want a brain dump for a senior developer and even then your retention would not be as great. The "guru" would leave eventually and at anywhere between $750 to $1500 a day. The CD is a steal.
-
Definitely get Platte Canyon's Learning & Mastering ToolBook CD-ROM training course. The great thing about it is that it covers beginner to advanced topics so while you will find it valuable today in getting started with ToolBook, you will also refer to it in the future when you are interested in learning more about OpenScript and some of the more complicated aspects of ToolBook.

I have found the "Learning and Mastering" CD to be an invaluable resource!

You guys really did an outstanding job on it.

I realized after the first hour of so of spelunking through the Learning & Mastering CD that I've wasted untold hours previously not knowing what the heck I was doing! Why didn't we buy this stuff sooner? (I'm bruised from kicking myself.) I could not be more impressed with what you've put together here. It has helped me enormously in the brief time I've been able to use it so far!
