| Update for Instructor 8.5 or 8.6 | |
| This update allows you to open
the training in 8.5 or 8.6 author mode.
Note: if you do not have Instructor 8.0 or 8.1 on the computer, you will not have an option to open the training in author mode from the autorun program. You must use the shortcuts provided by this update. Those of you with 8.0 or 8.1 will get the author option on the start-up but this will start the training in 8.0/8.1, not 8.5/8.6. Specifically, this update replaces lrncom8.sbk and ftspro.sbk, both typically located in c:\program files\common files\click2learn\tbsystem. It also adds a shortcut to your desktop and your "Instructor 8 CBT" folder (if you used the default folder location) to start the training in 8.5 and 8.6 author mode. |

| Update for "Double-Byte" Language Operating Systems like Chinese and Japanese | |
| Certain "double-byte"
languages like Chinese and Japanese have trouble with the database code
used in the Learning & Mastering ToolBook 8 CD. If you are running 8.0 or 8.1, please unzip tracker2.sbk and overwrite your existing one. This file is normally located in c:\program files\common files\click2learn\tbsystem. If you are running 8.5 or 8.6, please run the "Double Byte" version of the 8.5 or 8.6 update described at the top of this page. This will update tracker2.sbk and related files needed to run this training in 8.5 or 8.6. You only need to do either of these steps if you are experiencing problems logging into the training and have a non-English version of Windows.
